Acoustica, the makers of the extremely popular MP3 to WAVE Converter PLUS, launches another great product in MP3 CD Burner. Ease of use is a hallmark for Acoustica. This burning software presents a simple interface with access to all the functions you need in a burner: add and remove songs, add fade effects, arrange song order, CD ripping, and a powerful search feature to help find songs on your hard drive fast. Convert MP3 to CD without the need of an MP3 decoder, MP3 CD Burner does that automatically.
MP3 CD Burner also adds the best in new CD burning technology like CD-Text support and Burn-Proof technology that works with your CD writer* to ensure accurate burns without data interruption (buffer underrun errors). The inclusion of Burn-Proof launches this program way over the competition and greatly decreases frustrations from incomplete burns that plague many other programs.Other cool features include the software automatically detecting possible incomplete songs you try to load into the queue, saving the pain of burning them to CD.
Like all programs, there are a few quarks that you will have to work around. The search feature is a strong point to the program, scouring your entire hard drive for the files you specify. To avoid adding system audio files and other unwanted audio, have the program search for the name of the folder where you store your MP3s. That way, the search will be limited to the folder you specify. Also, Win2000 users will have to work to make sure the proper ASPI layers are installed in the program (this is not Acoustica's fault, but rather an annoyance caused by Microsoft and Adaptec). Acoustica handles all ASPI questions on their website and through their support options.
The new version of the burner, 2.0, now includes CD ripping for converting audio from your CD collection to your computer for listening or custom CD burning.
Other than the features already mentioned, Acoustica really shines in its customer support. If you ever have a problem, there is a live chat feature on the site and a bulletin board where questions are answered promptly. Acoustica puts their customers first as seen in their registration policy. If you pay for a program, you have bought it for life and can download all future versions of the program for free. No Microsoft, money-grubbing update fees for this company! If you have any problems, Acoustica is also very generous in refunding your money.
MP3 CD Burner supports 74 or 80 min. CDs. Trial allows you to burn up to 3 CDs free. If you want full CD burning capabilities, you can view our quick registration guide for MP3 CD Burner to help you do this.

Make sure you have version 1.19 or greater. Also, if you are using WinNT or Win2k, please make sure you are installing the software in Administrator mode in order to get the file associations set up correct.
I have also put together a program which will fix your associations. I found a problem with one customer having dangling VisioSonic associations. Download and run this program and it will re-direct any default associations that are not valid anymore to the mp3 to wave converter.
My problem isn’t in here!

You're already to convert your mp3s…but where are they?
You can go to the Window's Start button, followed by "Find", followed by "Files or Folders". Type '*.mp3' without the single quotes and make sure "My Computer" is selected in the "Look In" control. Then press the "Find Now…" button. This will take awhile and scan your hard drive for all your mp3s. Then you just have to right click on the ones you want to convert!
Depending on the mp3 player you have, you may see the "Convert mp3(s) to wave(s)…" menu even if you aren't right clicking on a .mp3. I won't go into the gorey details, but you'll want to be able to see file extensions to know for sure if a file is an mp3 or not. You need to see the actual .mp3 extension to know that it is an mp3 file. Sometimes, people will try to convert .rm,.ra,.asf,.wsm, and many others. So how do you see what extension it is?
Follow these instructions to see file extensions. Double click "My Computer". Go to View and select "Folder Options…" Click on the "View" tab and make sure that "Hide file extensions for known types" is NOT CHECKED. Press "OK" and you should be able to see the file extensions now!
You've installed the software and you are right clicking on an mp3 for the very first time. You see the "Convert mp3(s) to wave(s)…" menu item and you left click it but nothing happens. You may have run into a relatively rare problem where certain system components relating to the rich edit dll are not available. You may verify that you have this problem by going to Start, followed by Run… Type 'wordpad' and press OK.
If Wordpad does not launch then you might have this problem. To fix the problem you should go to Start, followed by Settings, followed by Control Panels. Double click the Add/Remove control panel and select the Windows Setup tab. Select and highlite Accessories and then press Details. Scroll down to the bottom and make sure Word Pad is checked. Check it if its not and then press OK, followed by another OK. You may be asked to put your Windows CD in and/or restart.
Yes you can! You can launch it via the command line like this :
mp3towave -C "pathtomp3"
Note that it needs the quotes around the path to the mp3 and the c needs to be a capital C. Of course, the mp3 to wave executable directory must be in your path variable or you must put the explicit path to the executable in the command line call.
Do not panic! In many cases, there may be a processing delay. Sometimes, people have supplied the wrong email address. In rare cases, the registered users are unreachable due to mis-configured email clients or privacy control.
